Good Times and Sad Times

I have been meaning to finish my catch up post from our pick up trip. It's just that things keep happening that divert my attention. Last weekend was my baby sister's bachelorette bash in Las Vegas. I was really torn about leaving Dylan for 2 days, but only a catastrophe would make me miss her send off into marriedville. Plus Dad is fully competent to handle the little guy.

I had a great time being part of her entourage. It isn't necessarily my scene, but it was fun to get out and just be in the moment with the girls. I would write more details but you know the saying - "What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas" - so mum is the word. Here is a photo of us before our Friday night out. Use your imagination.

On a sad note, Bill's father passed away on Sunday so I booked an earlier flight and headed home a few hours early. Dylan and I are heading to Illinois tomorrow to join Bill and the rest of the family for Grandpa Bob's memorial service. I am very sad that Dylan never got to meet him. I think he would have found Grandpa interesting to say the least, and I would like to think that Grandpa would have fallen in love with Dylan the way everyone in the family has. I don't have an appropriate photo for this sad occassion, so I would like to leave you with a video of Dylan that I would like to think would have made Grandpa smile.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear of Grandpa passing. I can totally relate as I too have lost several family members in the past two months. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. On another note Dylan is gorgeous and looks like you all are doing really well together. Enjoy him!!

That video of Dylan is adorable! Tyler is sitting next to me and told me, "That baby looks like Anara." Thanks for giving us a peek!

Ivy and Bill,
We're so sorry to hear about your Dad:( Madeline L'Engle once wrote, that someone who's been loved never dies...you'll have to tell Dylan stories of him.
We love the video of D and the giggles and laughter, he is definitely thriving and basking in your love! The blanket is just gorgeous!

The pink women crack me up! Must have had some fun that night!
